Wednesday we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom. As you can see, the day started off a little dreary. In fact, the rain came down fairly hard while we were on the shuttle bus over to Disney. We wore our beautiful ponchos for just a little bit and the rain stopped! Then we had a cooler day with only a few puddles and maybe the crowds were thinner because of it as well. Turned out to be very comfortable.
Animal Kingdom is a nice mix of zoo and Disney-type stuff. A few rides and shows, etc. We enjoyed a safari ride-- saw many different unusual animals.
We found it! Florida's only mountain! :) Well, it was pretty fake, but enjoyable nonetheless. It was Expedition Everest. Pretty cool roller coaster!
Below, the ride that Micah ended up doing several times, with different combinations of people. I think I did it 3 times with him. We considered going over to some dinosaur show while the big people were doing a big-people ride, but then we found out it was potentially scary. That ruled out that! Yesterday, we watched a 3D Monsters Inc show that was WAY too scary for Micah! He did not like that. Too many very realistic special effects.
We were able to leave Animal Kingdom a couple hours earlier than we had left Magic Kingdom (we watched the shuttle schedule carefully to make sure we caught the earlier one!), and people in our group still had a bit of energy, as you can see below. Well, maybe mom didn't have much energy left, but she didn't complain at all. :)
