Teenager!!

Last Saturday, we celebrated our lovely Katie's 13th birthday! Wowie! Hard to believe that 13 years have passed.

That evening, we had a fun bday celebration with her friend Lauralyn and some of Laura's family, as well as Gpa and Gma. Gma provided some gorgeous "13" decorations, of which I wish we had a better picture. She handmade some lovely placecards for the table.

At Katie's request, we ate steamers, baked macaroni, watermelon, and tortilla chips. Nothing green. :)

I also made a chocolate cake with pink and white polkadots to match the decor.

Gma had a great big present for Katie... at least it started out really big. :) She had to keep unwrapping and cutting tape and getting thru more boxes until she got down to the very middle. All along the way, she found coins and dollar bills and candy bars-- lots of goodies. The very center gift was a card telling her that Gma was going to take her to get her hair done-- cut and highlights.

They did that this week, and Katie's hair looks great!

Katie went home with them after her party at stayed in PA until Wed after we all went to Hershey Park together.
