I just bought a blooming rose
At the Florist Shoppe.
But it looked lonely,
So I added a marigold on top.
But I knew, "Oh, dear me,
They are a lonely pair."
So I added violets, orchids, tulips,
Saying, "Now I have flowers to spare."
